Production updates
Go-live and celebrations Gogeta
We have officially completed the go-live of mixed routes successfully!! There are some open actions left. but none of these actions are critical or blocking us from continuing with planning mixed routes and safe at least 800k per year for logistics.
Thanks everyone for your great work, the engineering team in Amsterdam who worked on it for a full year, all stackers who needed to change a lot in their process, the warehouse engineering team, the team leads and ops leaders for driving this change in operations and of course Badr for managing this for production, it has not been easy, but we can be really proud! It has for sure been a difficult project, but it has resulted in fewer GDPR violations, more user-friendly production outputs, standardized sticker templates, a scalable sequencing product, the deprecation of several source files/tools, and a significant cost saving at logistics! This week, there were some Gogeta celebrations in the Amsterdam office and the DC, and you can find the pictures below. Cheers to a successful go-live!
Food & Quality
Clothing policy in the production area🥼
🚨 During the warm summer days, people tend to dress more lightly—wearing items like shorts, dresses, and sandals. Last month, this led to several situations where individuals attempted to enter the production area in such light clothing.
🏭 The temperature in our production area is 4°C, so wearing the correct clothing is essential.
Light summer clothing—such as shorts, dresses, and sandals—is not considered appropriate, as it does not provide adequate protection and may introduce unforeseen risks to the environment or yourself.
🥼 Please therefore remind yourself of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for our production environment, also during summer days:
All employees are required to wear the personal protective equipment (PPE) provided by HelloFresh at all designated times.
Visitors must wear at least a high-visibility vest or jacket and S3 safety shoes or safety toe caps when accessing production areas.

When entering the production floor, a work jacket (visitor jacket, freezer jacket, overcoat) must be worn; legs must be covered with long trousers, and safety shoes or safety toe caps must be worn over closed-toe shoes.
These requirements are also applicable to office staff and visitors
Our team is HACCP-compliant! 💪🍋🟩🍎
Last week Thursday it was all about food safety, knowledge, and teamwork! Led by an enthusiastic and experienced external trainer, our DC HACCP team completed an intensive and informative HACCP training course.
From cross-contamination to critical control points, every aspect of food safety was covered. The trainer not only presented the material and theory clearly but also in a way that resonated with our daily practices. Her practical examples and interactive approach kept everyone engaged and actively participating.
We are now not only better informed but also even more motivated to work in a food-safe and responsible manner.

Pride week
This week, we are highlighting Pride Week Amsterdam in our DC wich takes place from July 26th to August 3rd. It is an annual event in honor of the LGBTIQ+ community, celebrating freedom, love, and equality for all. Because even today, being visibly LGBTQIA+ is not safe or accepted everywhere. Not in every country, not in every workplace, and not in every community. Pride started as a protest, and that spirit is still needed. We celebrate progress, but also stand up for those who still face discrimination or cannot speak up safely themselves.
There are many activities to enjoy in Amsterdam all week long, such as the Pride March, OpenAir Film Festival, and Canal Pride and many more.

Hello, I'm Uru - maybe a familiar face for some and new for others 🙂 I have been working at HelloFresh since 2021 as a Talent Acquisition Partner and as of 1st August am joining the HR Ops team as an HR Specialist. Before my official start date, I will start working from Bleiswijk more often, which is why I will already introduce myself here.
I've been living in The Netherlands for almost 10 years now, first in Maastricht for my studies and for the last 5 years in The Hague. Before The Netherlands I lived in Finland where I grew up. A few fun facts about me - I love Bollywood dancing and besides that, like almost all other millennials these days I have discovered running.
I'm really excited to be working with many of you in this new role and getting to know you better!
