***In W18 we had a large shortage of Granaatappel on Monday of ~380 pieces. This contributes 0.3% to the total error rate. The shortage was flagged by line prep, but a check concluded that the shipment was delivered in full. Due to some miscommunication there was no follow-up to double check the case sizes, as this was likely the issue, but we can't prove it now. Without this incident, the P&P error rate is still below 1%! :slightly_smiling_face:
Production updates
🚚Preparing for De Kas: Outbound Operations Project Launch
In April 2026, HelloFresh will launch De Kas, our new distribution center. Unlike the current flexible setup at Prismalaan, De Kas will operate with a fixed layout, clearly separating inbound and outbound operations.
A key challenge in outbound operations is limited visibility—especially around dock availability and how well linehaul planning matches with real-time execution. With 11 docks available at De Kas, gaining better insight into process performance is essential.
To prepare, we’re launching a new project to assess current outbound operations at Prismalaan. By shining a light into what’s currently a data ‘black box,’ we’ll validate our planning assumptions with real-time data and identify improvements to support daily operations and future growth.

We’ll present the current state of operations, share key next steps, and align on ownership and timelines to ensure a smooth and successful project.

Project Facelift Go-Live Recap & Next Steps
In Boxweek 18 & 19, we successfully went live with Project Facelift, delivering key improvements to our production preparation processes 🥳🎉
What has Been Implemented?
A new printing app for OPS-Support
A new printing template per stickers type (instead of ~8 templates)
Updated pallet labels and box stickers
A scalable new Bartender file structure (6 files to 1 file)
[Gogeta] New stacking and box packaging overviews
These improvements all contribute to a significantly improved stability, scalability and usability of our production preparation domain, while also saving time for OPS-Support. Furthermore many of these improvements lay the groundwork for changes that will be made for project Gogeta.
Feedback & Improvements
All feedback received during the rollout (over 20 points in total!) has been processed and implemented. As of now, there are no open feedback points. Thanks to the Pick & Pack team for all the valuable feedback, and to the Data and Warehouse Engineering (OPS-Tech) for the speed & agility shown in processing and implementing the feedback requests!
What’s Next?
[Gogeta] The Go-live of the various new prod. Prep outputs (previous picklists)
Migration of the printing server to AWS infrastructure
Deprecation of old templates, tools & files by the end of BW20 (14-05-2025)
Retrospective to review the rollout and capture lessons learned
And as mentioned, project Facelift is a big enabler for project Gogeta, on which more updates will follow soon!

NEW JOINER! Maaike de Lange
Hi everyone,
My name is Maaike de Lange. On May 1st I joined the HR team here in Bleiswijk as a Junior HR Specialist. I have a background in Employment Law and I am very excited to take on this new role.
I live in The Hague, right between the city and the beach, which is perfect for long walks along the shore. I love cooking, citytrips and spending time with friends and family. In my free time I also enjoy creative projects like crafting photo albums and sewing. More recently I have started learning how to knit, so if anyone has any tips I would love to hear them! I’m really excited being a part of this dynamic and international organisation and I’m looking forward to getting to know you all!

Bi-weekly update
This week, we once again held our on-site meeting to review construction progress, discuss recent developments, and assess building quality. These site visits are essential for Operations, to ensure that all requested changes are implemented correctly.
On the exterior, the first work on the parking deck has started, which will be at first-floor height. The concrete foundation for the freezer is now complete,
and work on the freezer walls is in progress. Meanwhile, the roof of the ambient warehouse is nearly finished (which is half the size of production),
just like half of the production hall is already finished. For the office area, teams are currently working on the steel structure for the office floor foundation.
