Production updates
Another major milestone achieved in the WMS 2.0 project this week!
As of Wednesday, we've fully transitioned from WMS Lite to WMS 2.0. 🚀
All inventory is now managed within the new system, which introduces key enhancements like cleardown, cycle counts, and full traceability across the warehouse.
We’ve also phased out the KanBan system by implementing PutAway tasks in WMS 2.0—directing drivers to move pallets from inbound to storage and buffer locations.
The final phase, Milestone 2B, is just around the corner and will introduce Replenishment functionality in the coming weeks.
Successful Go-Live of the new Dock Safety System!
Today, the first trucks successfully made use of the new Dock Safety System at dock 11. This system is designed to prevent unauthorized dock drive-aways and to create a safer work environment for the colleagues involved in loading and unloading.
During the trial of 3 months, we’ll collect feedback from truck drivers, Expedition and Inbound employees on the use of the system. The first reactions are already positive: “Very easy to use!”.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress and results during the trial period.
This go-live is a great example of Speed and Agility. 🚀
In less than two week the system was installed, technical problems were fixed, instruction were given and the data/feedback collection was set-up and ready for testing!
