Production updates
Sharing Best Practices – Lisses Visit
This week, some of our colleagues visited the team in Lisses to share best practices and support them in preparing for rapid growth in France. Sebastian Roslon, Marie, and Rafal spent time on the floor with the Team Leads and Planning Team to understand their current way of working and explore how we, as the Benelux team, can help optimize their rack plan and increase throughput.
France is currently experiencing fast growth and aims to improve their kitting throughput to 750 kits per hour.
A big thank you for all your hard work, and best of luck to the French team as they begin implementing our rack plan this week!
Labor planning Workshop!
Last week, Andris and Ruben attended a labor planning workshop where all HelloFresh markets from around the world came together to discuss the production people planning process. The aim of the workshop was primarily, besides meeting other production planners, to gain knowledge from other markets on labor planning. Each market had prepared a presentation to showcase the process. The presentations clearly showed how differently we work, which also shaped the second part of the workshop, in order to further structure the way of labour planning in terms of various factors, namely labour regulations, box count and production hours. At the last workshop they visited the partially automated DC in Barleben (Germany) to take a closer look at the processes there and, of course, to exchange learnings with our colleagues in Germany.

Hi everyone😊!
My name is Madhwi Khoenkhoen, and I started on Wednesday, April 16th as an interim HR Specialist.
For the coming three months, I’ll be working at HelloFresh and temporarily supporting the HR team until a permanent hire is found—most likely around July.
A little bit about me: I’m 36 years old, living in Reeuwijk, and I get lots of energy from fitness and walking🥾👟, cooking for my family🍝🍤, and exploring beautiful places—both in the Netherlands and abroad✈️!
I’m super excited to get started at HelloFresh and, of course, to get to know all of you better!

''De Kas''
Bi-weekly update
Today it was time again for the bi-weekly site visit to "De Kas". This time, there were many major changes and updates to see. Progress is moving quickly: we can already see the sprinklers being installed. While we were there, the freezer floor was being poured. In the photo, you can also spot the heating elements beneath the ground in the freezer area. These are there to prevent the floor from freezing and becoming slippery.
We also had the chance to go up to the mezzanine level, where the offices and canteen will be located. This is also the level where the skywalk will run through the entire production hall, and as you can see from the photos, it’s already giving us a great preview of the final layout.
From this height, we also got a good view of the docks, which are clearly taking shape and starting to define the flow of the inbound area.
We even got to go up on the roof! Half of the building is now covered, and they’ve started working on the steel structure for the other half. Over the next six weeks, the steel construction and roofing for the remaining section will be completed.
It’s incredibly exciting to see the progress, it’s hard to believe that in just one year, we’ll already be producing here! 💚
