Hi all,
Yesterday we had our first Celebration at our New DC 'de Kas': the completion of the roof and façade! 🎉 It was great to see a first glimpse of what’s to come!

Production updates
Sorting Line Pilot launch: week one highlights
On Monday and Tuesday this week, we officially launched the Sorting Line Pilot!🎉
Between June 30th and July 1st, we transitioned from the traditional Slowmover to the new Sorting Line process.
What is the Sorting Line?
The Sorting Line is a pre-assembly method where low-runner recipes are picked in sequence into crates instead of boxes. These crates are then delivered directly to the assembly line, enabling the picking of multiple recipes via one or more dedicated pickfaces.
Why the change?
As our menu grows to over 100 recipes, the current system faces some challenges:
Each recipe needs its own pickface, which limits flexibility.
Adding more slowmovers takes up valuable pallet space.
The Sorting Line solves these problems by giving us a more flexible and scalable way to work, ready to support future growth.
How did Week 1 go?
Our main goal was to test the operational feasibility and explore the optimal layout. By Day 2, we already saw meaningful improvements!

June 30th
Sorting Line: 1,553 kits/hour with 34 people (+2.85% vs. Slowmover Line)
Precon Line: 899 boxes/hour (-19% vs. previous Monday)
July 1st
Sorting Line: 1,468 kits/hour with 31 people
Precon Line: 1,008 boxes/hour (+10.8% vs. Day 1)
What’s next?
We're already seeing day-to-day improvement, and we're confident the results will continue to rise. The Sorting Line is now performing nearly on par with the Slowmover process. With further optimization, we expect even better performance in the coming weeks.

Weekly update SCC
Last week, we had 2 supplier visits from Bellamy's and BeFood for an OTIFIQ meeting. These meetings were planned to discuss our cooperation and to go through their scores and performances. OTIFIQ stands for On Time, In Full and In Quality, which tells us how a supplier is performing in these areas. We invited these suppliers so that we can discuss improvement and enhancement points for our cooperation, so that we face less (pre-)production issues. Lastly, we gave them a tour through the DC to give them a feeling how we assemble the boxes.
Next week (Tuesday, 8th of July), the SCC teams from France and the Nordics will join us here for a joint 2 day meeting where we will discuss on how to improve and enhance our current work methods. The goal is to get an uniform, standardized way of working through all markets.

De Kas celebration!
Yesterday, we celebrated a key milestone in De Kas: the completion of the roof and façade! With the building now fully enclosed, the site finally reveals the true (and impressive) scale. A big thank you to everyone who joined us, it was a pleasure to welcome you on-site, give a first tour of your future workplace, and share a glimpse of what’s to come!
