Production updates
OpEx Maturity Assessment results
In January, we conducted the OpEx Maturity Assessment and we have reached a score of 2.14, which is an increase of +17% from last year's score. (Note: The maximum score is 4)
I would like to take a moment here to show the evolution since we started performing Maturity Assessment for Prismalaan (see the graph)
What is the OpEx Maturity Assessment ?
The OpEx Maturity Assessment is a maturity check up that compares the operational execution versus the Target Operating Model designed by OpEx International. The Target Operating Model contains 3 building blocks which are the essentials for Operational Excellence :
- Process - Work in accordance with best practices
- People - Enable people to contribute to their fullest potential
- Performance - Steer and manager for highest efficiency and quality.
Each building block is divided into elements on which the assessment is conducted. Different levels are defined, from level 0 to 4, level 4 being the highest and considered as a best practice. You can find the grid with the details of the elements here.
The goal of this assessment is to assess where we stand for our site and identify areas of improvements.
Where did we improve mainly last year ?
In 2024, we have made improvements in the following elements:
SOPs Application: We have increased the number of SOPs and OPLs created and displayed on the shop floor. This is a direct result of last year's focus on ensuring that process changes are sustainable over time, so our teams can consistently perform the right actions.
CI Roadmap: Our Production Roadmap has evolved, now offering more detailed information on project scope and stakeholders. Additionally, it is reviewed monthly to ensure continuous alignment and improvement.
Meeting Cascade: In connection with Fresh Insights, we have implemented structured Tier 0 and Tier 1 meetings, supported by whiteboards to help team leads and line leads track progress.
Visual Management: We have increased the visibility of key performance data across the shop floor, office, and canteen. TV screens and whiteboards now display information on performance, HSE, and FSQA for easy reference by all teams.
KPIs & Targets: A key focus has been improving our error and waste dashboards, providing better tracking and analysis of our performance. This allows stakeholders at all levels to gain deeper insights and make more informed decisions
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this score increase, we can be proud of what we have achieved over the last 2 years.
Gogeta As-Is Mapping
Gogeta Phase 1 - As-Is mapping & Baseline Measurements
As you might have read in a previous newsletter, project Gogeta has been started in Production for a few weeks now. In the first phase of the project, the aim is mainly to get a clear understanding of the current situations (As-Is) and baseline data on the various (sub)deliverables.
The project team recently came together to document the sequencing process and other key topics. We're excited to share an infographic of the sequencing process in this newsletter. While it may look complex on paper, it’s even more intricate in practice! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to the project team or badr.saddik@hellofresh.nl!

Weekly GMP update🚀
Safety improvement on the terrace
⚠️ The concrete parking blocks/bumps on the terrace can be a trip hazard.
✅ While removal isn’t possible, the Technical Department has taken action to improve safety. These blocks have been painted bright yellow to enhance visibility and reduce the risk of tripping.
Health & Safety statistic - January 2025
Take a look at the H&S statistics. The chart shows the types and numbers of hazards/unsafe situations you reported through the Safety Walk form. The table shows the total reported hazards, near misses, and incidents.

New joiner Cátia!
Hi everyone!
I joined the OpEx Production team at HelloFresh Benelux as an OpEx Engineer on the 3rd of February! I come from Portugal, where I was born and raised with good food and weather. I grew up in a small town in the north by the beach, so I will miss the sunny days.
I studied Chemical Engineering and kicked off my career at a brewery in Porto (Super Bock - yes, we got free beer) where I spent 2.5 years in the maintenance team making sure the utilities area ran 24/7.
So, while I'm not new to the food industry, I am new to the Netherlands and the OpEx team! Also, for the first time, I’m living alone, which has turned furnishing my house into my full-time hobby (lots of IKEA, Action, and Jumbo). Every day is a new adventure!
Outside of work, I love traveling alone or with friends to explore new cities. Recently discovered I enjoy going to the gym, and I’m always up for going out with friends - or staying home binge-watching the same TV shows and movies. I also love meeting new people, so if you ever need a chat or a laugh hit me up!
