Production updates
KiS (Kitting in Sequence) test
This week we started the kitting in sequence test. The test takes place in HF-W40, HF-W41 and HF-W42 on Monday and Tuesday during regular kitting hours.
Why Kitting in Sequence?
With the Kitting in Sequence, we would like to explore the possibilities of picking menus with P2L (Pick To Light), which will enable customized customer kits. (Swapping or removing ingredients)
Results so far:
First week of the test showed a peak speed of 840 kits per hour, with an average throughput of approximately 700 kits per hour.

Project Package Deal
happy to share that the first great result in this project has been achieved. Last Friday, Maatschap Broersen delivered the first delivery in EPS-24603. Broersen was a major player in the first 10 weeks of 2024 with a 20% share in the supply (111,216 crates) of CBL crates.
As you all know, a CBL crate is not foldable and takes up an awful lot of space in our fust storage. In contrast, EPS is a foldable crate and takes up 75% less storage space. I’m sure there is more to come!!

Food & Quality, Health & Safety updates week 39
Unsafe situation -> Reporting -> Safe situation
Hereby a good example of how reporting unsafe situations can improve the safety in the DC. The H&S Specialist received multiple reports about unsafe stacks of pallets in the Fust hall. Broken pallets are collected in this spot until they are returned, but this spot is next to the walking path.The situation and risk was asset and it was decided to use a different and safer spot for these pallets, which resulted in these before and after pictures:

Data storytelling 15th October
During the data drivenness month, we mentioned that a data storytelling training will be organized within Production. Corne, Simon and Wesley have been working together on the content and format, so we are now ready to share more practical information!

Location: on-site in Prismalaan
If you are interested and would like to participate, please inform your manager. It is expected from the participants to have basic experience and knowledge with data (Excel and Gsheet)
It will cover tips on data collection and retrieval, understanding data, finding the story behind the numbers, and presenting it in a way that resonates. It's perfect for anyone who wants to take their data skills to the next level without getting lost in the numbers.
