Production Updates
Green Chef milestone!
A new highlight in Green Chef's life so far; we've reached the 5k boxes milestone!
This week we will pack 5145 boxes, with a lot of new customers coming in but also more and more loyal customers so that's a great success story.

BRC Audit
This week we successfully finished the annual BRC audit. BRC is our food safety certificate and covers the majority of our procedures around food safety and quality. During the audit the auditor verifies if all procedures necessary are present and implemented. We started Monday evening with a visit to production. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday we were focussing on documentation around Facility Management, HR, SCC and FSQA.
I am very pleased and proud to share that we finished the audit with 0 non conformities! However, we needed to postpone the original audit date resulting in that we started the audit with a major non conformity. Making the final audit score BRCB.

Full discount week HF Market
Upcoming week (W39) we will have the 5th discount week in the history of the HelloFresh Market. This week, the HelloFresh Market assortment is offered up to 50% discount. As how it looks for now this week will be on the 3rd place in terms of the busiest week ever. Curious to know what this week does to our volumes? Last week on Friday we packed 35358 add ons. This week will we pack 54021 which is a 54% increase!

Bi-weekly sprint update OPS-TECH
Hello! We are the ops-tech team. We work in a 2 week "sprint" cycle. Meaning we estimate and plan our work on a 2 week basis. We will give a (short) recap and preview of what we're working on every 2 weeks.

*OPS-TECH Sprint recap and update*
Last sprinted we finalized our work on replacing the old splitting excel tool, a milestone for project Chimera. All that remains is final testing and sign-off by the key users. The SCC-team and internal logistics team are validating the new outputs as we speak. Also for Chimera, we have finalized our first prototype that can be tested. It's looking good but ofcourse we still need a lot of user feedback.
Furthermore we duplicated almost all workflows and dataflows of the Waste Tooling, originally built
by Helene from the French team. This means we can now start working on process/tech improvements without impacting the French team [insert FREEDOOOOOM meme].
Coming sprint Guinio will be OOO, meaning we will have 1/3rd less engineering capacity. Instead of the regular 20 to 25 story points we now planned beween 12 and 14 story points.
Next sprint we will launch the new Chimera back-end and continue work on the Kanban application.Also we'll investigate the impact of the Gogeta project on our bartender (printing) software. Lastly, we will remove a lot of old data from the fusttool to make it more responsive.

Mint Mentoring Program Q4
Applications to the Mint Mentoring program in Q4 are open! HelloFresh employees can apply to become a mentor or mentee, or both. You can read more about the program below. Applications close on October 4.
Objectives
To promote knowledge and skill sharing across the HelloFresh Group
To provide opportunities for senior employees to develop leadership skills
To provide space for role models from traditionally underrepresented groups
To enable productive relationships and a proactive learning culture
How does it work
You apply either as mentor, a mentee, or both. You will pick the topics you wish to mentor and/or want to be mentored on.
The Mint team will then help you pair up based on the topics both mentor and mentee have selected, and kick it off.
Both mentors and mentees will have access to material on how to make the mentorship a successful one, and mentees will also have access to group experience sharing sessions.
Where do I sign up for the Mint Mentoring program?
All you need to do is to fill out this application form by October 4th 2023. If you are unsure of how to use the application form, please take a look at this instruction deck. You will hear from the Mint team within three weeks about the next steps.
Please note: Since mentor and administrative capacity are limited, the Mint team will not be able to pair up everyone. They will first serve who comes first. The team does not currently have the capacity to maintain a queue. It’s always easier to get matched if you also volunteer to mentor.

National vitality week
From 25 to 29 September 2023, the 9th edition of National Vitality Week will take place! The aim of National Vitality Week is to make working people in the Netherlands aware of the importance of their own vitality.
At HelloFresh, we work with night shifts. They are known to have great effects on our bodies and health. Therefore, next week on the screens in Bleiswijk, we will share 5 different tips & tricks to boost your health and vitality.

Still, we felt the need to take all of the elements together, explain what we mean by each and every one of them and explain connections. All elements together make up the HelloFresh Operating System.

HelloSki
After the roaring success of last year's ski trip, organization has begun for the 2024 trip!! All we need from you right now is to know if you are interested so we have some rough numbers of how many we can expect on this trip of a life time.
The format will be similar to last year, 4 days/ 3 nights Thursday to Sunday. Exact dates to be confirmed, but we are currently looking at options in Jan and Feb. Last year's trip cost around €650 per person, we will be aiming for roughly the same price this year. We will work out exact costs and give more details over the coming weeks/ months so you can make a final decision.
