Production Updates
Load Carrier Management
In the past months we have received multiple reports on the unsafe situations regarding the stacking heights of pallets and empty crates in the ‘fusthal’. After multiple improvements regarding Load Carrier Management, and much effort from our Expedition, Fust, Internal Transport and OpEx team we have been able to consistently keep enough capacity free for the last weeks, in order for us to switch to stacking our pallets with empty crates 2 high only.
Due to the positive development we will switch to stacking 2 high as much as possible, which if the current trend continues, should be from now onwards. Your safety is our priority and with this adjustment we can increase safety in the area and decrease the risks of incidents!
No chewing GUM
Unfortunately, chewing gum was found in a customer's box.
Hereby a little reminder that chewing gum is not allowed in the production hall.
Free4Life
We are launching a new initiative called Free4Life in the Netherlands as of week 36. Free4Life will be exclusively offered to a subset of new customers who will be able to choose from a weekly range of 6 products (rotating on a weekly basis from a total of 19 products) "for life", meaning as long as they have an active HelloFresh subscription. Products we are offering for this test will be in the 'snacks' category (smoothies, snack tomatoes, snack carrots. bagels, fruit salads etc.)
The project was kick-started by the US team and it delivered some good results on the retention side (both AOR and CCV saw increases vs control). We are also expecting positive retention results since consumers will get free products each week along their HelloFresh box, especially taking into account that if consumers cancel - they are no longer able to claim this offer.
We will launch this as an initial test on 2 online channels and we are expecting 1200-1300 prospects to claim this offer. After that, their retention will be compared to the 'normal' consumer who did not get this offer and we will evaluate the business impact.
HSE Mascot
In the past few weeks we have been working hard on our safety mascot! As you can see it turned out quite nice. In the meantime we are working on creating a few animation videos with our mascot in the lead to visualize safety. The visual safety campaign will be launched in Q4.. stay tuned for the exact date ;)
But....
The mascot still needs a name. Please vote for your favourite name!
Process library
We're excited to update you on our ongoing Process Mapping initiative led by the Operational Excellence team. Here's why this matters for all of us:

Enhanced Communication: Process maps foster cross-departmental understanding, showing how changes in one process might impact others. The Process Library also helps you identify Points of Contact per Sub Domain to connect you to process experts for queries.
Our operations OpEx team has recently done quite a bit of process mapping within our DC, our E2E Operational processes have been completely mapped. The next step is to start mapping all the processes within the supporting teams, such as Expedition, HR, FSQA, etc. The goal is to have all of our E2E processes mapped.
The Amsterdam OpEx team has also done a lot of process mapping for other teams within our Transport and Amsterdam departments.
Now you might be wondering where you can find these process maps, which is a great question! We have created a simple to use dashboard where every mapped process within the Benelux can be found. The goal is to have all processes in here eventually, and we're very far already! All these process maps can be found within the previously mentioned Process Library which you can access via this link:

HelloSki
After the roaring success of last year's ski trip, organization has begun for the 2024 trip!! All we need from you right now is to know if you are interested so we have some rough numbers of how many we can expect on this trip of a life time.
The format will be similar to last year, 4 days/ 3 nights Thursday to Sunday. Exact dates to be confirmed, but we are currently looking at options in Jan and Feb. Last year's trip cost around €650 per person, we will be aiming for roughly the same price this year. We will work out exact costs and give more details over the coming weeks/ months so you can make a final decision.
