Production Updates
Fust Inventory Count
As you know we receive quite some "fust" empty load carriers such as; pallets, crates etc. from our suppliers. Ones the crates are empty we store them on pallets in the ambient hall. As you have noticed its quite full in the ambient area. We have several improvements going on to make sure that we reduce the amount of pallets with fust in the ambient hall to make sure that it is safe enough for everyone to work there. Based on this we started this week our full fust inventory count!
What is the difference from our monthly count?
Previously we performed a monthly count of all our empties, which led to discrepancies in our finances, we counted only the fust that we had in our ambient hall, but actually we also have fust that is pending to go to the ambient hall that were not counted. From this week we will perform the inventory count weekly on Thursday morning to control if our numbers in theory are matching our physical stock.
Of course it is still a work in progress and several teams are working on reducing our inventory of fust in the ambient hall. But in the mean time we would like to kindly ask everyone to avoid walking in our ambient hall when you are not working there and instead use the walking path at the inbound/outbound docks.
HSE Audit follow up
As you may recall, we had an HSE audit on last 16th of May in which we scored a level 2. This audit noted a few of minors to work on for improvement.
We will have a follow-up audit on 28 September next.
In the meantime, we have been working hard to resolve our minors and we would like to update you about this.
Fresh League update
W33 incorrect forecast
Last Monday W33, an incorrect forecast was loaded while ordering the orders. This has caused several shortages in products.
SCC has contacted several suppliers for this in order to arrange backorders from these suppliers. But in addition, they also had to arrange transport so that these backorders would reach our DC in time for production.
With the products that could not be backordered, SCC provided replacement solutions.
For example: Spinach, of which the correct grammage could not be delivered. SCC puzzled with grammages that were available so that everyone got the right amounts in their boxes.
This has been very well resolved by the SCC team as there have been no bulk uploads this whole week. Well done team!

One of the topic our two teams OpEx & OpsTech, have retrospected is on our 7 HelloFresh valueas which are the core of our organization: Long term orientation, Data drivenness, Speed&Agility, Egoless environment, Customer centricity, Learning never stops & Relentless prioritization.
We took this time to ask ourselves how do we live these values in our daily work and how can we improve this in the future within our teams? Input that can hulp us to stay and grow further in the ranking of the Best Place To Work in the Netherlands!
HR announcements
We need your input!
From September onwards, we would like to start with an engagement calendar to be shown on the screens and in the newsletter. In this calendar, we will share (international, national, special) holidays and important days/moments for HF. In the picture, you can see the first draft.
As we want this to be a joint effort, please share important events/milestones/etc. that can be put in the calendar. For example, if your teams wants to cook a lunch on a specific Friday, we can put it in. But, it can also be a celebration of a big project coming to end, or a survey deadline. By doing this, we can increase engagement among teams, as we are more aware of what others are doing. You can share your ideas through this link. You can also let HR know, as they are the ones adding the initiatives.

H2 Focus Sessie
Last week, an H2 focus session took place. With this session, we wanted to give a clear picture about the biggest projects and focus points for the next six months. You can find the slides of this presentation here.

Leave stuff in the office or bring it back
Recently, there have been frequent disappearances of items from the office.
Think plates and cutlery, office supplies, and personal items belonging to colleagues. With this message, we would like to ask you to return items when they have been borrowed!
An example where this has a big impact on our operation is:
The charger on the block of SCC. Not only are these very expensive, but it is used to charge the phones we use to solve problems for production. If the phone is empty, and the charger is gone, this can cause errors.
So please leave the chargers in the office so that this problem does not occur!
Strategie Session Q3
There will be another strategy session in Q3, where we will look together at our performance around the OKRs & give updates around ongoing projects.
The placeholder is already sent out for a morning session on the 12th October.
Please note; This session is mandatory for all office staff & operations team leaders.
