After a tremendously short time to build a new brand from scratch, we are proud to announce that as of this weekend FACTOR will go live in our Benelux cluster!
Over the last 7 weeks different teams have all worked together to make sure that everything is ready and can go according to plan. The first week is what we call "soft launch" for friends and family. This means that mainly HF & Factor employees will place an order.
As of next week we will start targeting customers and thus hoping to increase the volumes and create a new food solution for customers.
Let's Go Factor!
FACTOR orders will be packed via our HFM P2L Line (MAO). In order to facilitate this we have shifted the HelloFresh production shift which started at 11:00 on Saturday and Sunday to 12:00. FACTOR will be produced every Saturday and Sunday at 11:30. In the coming weeks we expect that FACTOR demand will increase and at some point we reach the point that we can not produce all the orders in 30 minutes of time. If that happens, we will adjust the start time to an earlier time.
The reason why we start HFM production (MAO) later has to deal with the potential increase in demand for FACTOR. If we do not adjust the starting times there is not enough time left to rest between Friday and Saturday and Saturday and Sunday.
Did you join our Goodbye Klappolder Summer Party last week?
No? You really missed something!
Here you can find the photo's of this epic summer party!

On the 7th of June we faced a CO2 leakage in our cooling system room. A dangerous level of CO2 escaped and filled the room which resulted in a CO2 alarm. The area was evacuated and the Voets & Donkers mechanic came to site. The mechanic of Voet & Donkers managed to stop the leakage but his approach was unsafe and unwanted. Not taking the right measures when it comes to CO2 can lead to serious injuries and even fatalities! So it is very important to respond well to a CO2 alarm at our site!
From a safety perspective we aim to learn from incidents to better our way of working.
Following up on the incident we have discussed a new procedure with Voets & Donkers. Without the right personal protection nobody is allowed to enter the room if the CO2 measurements are dangerously high. There is no exception that allows anyone to put themselves in danger.
On Thursday the 6th of June we will have a short training for the technical department and team leads to discuss the new procedure so we all know how to act if it happens again. Next to that we will change the current situation in the cooling room that caused the incident. With the modifications we will eliminate the risk of repetition.
This week, you can read a bit more about our Golden Employee Barbara.
Out of a total of 100 votes, she received 18 votes from you all, making her the first winner of the Golden Box!
What is your position within HelloFresh?
Receptie / Front Desk Employee at location Prismalaan.
How long have you been working with us?
I started 2,5 years ago via Charlie Works as a Corona Checker at the entry of HelloFresh. In January 2022, I joined HelloFresh on contract as a permanent Front Desk Employee at Prismalaan.
What is your favourite dish?
My husband introduced me to Surinamese cuisine. So Surinamese food, especially roti!
What do you like about your work?
At reception, I especially like the contact with people. I know almost everyone by name, especially the regular faces.
HelloFresh offers good opportunities and gives confidence in me as a person. That feels good. I know we have to work hard, but everyone is always cheerful, which gives me energy every day. That's why I love working at HelloFresh.
How do you feel about being the first Golden Employee?
I feel special because normally I never win anything. Especially not when it's the first time anyone can win something.
Did you see it coming that colleagues would vote for you?
No. I was so surprised at the announcement, it was only later that it actually hit me when I told my husband.
Do you have any tips for your colleagues who also want to become a Golden Employee in the future?
Always be cheerful and willing to help your colleagues. This is appreciated and this will make you stand out so that colleagues will vote for you during the new round for Golden employee.
Any last words you want to share with us before ending this interview?
I would like to thank everyone who voted for me! And for the trust and appreciation in my work.
We would like to thank everyone for voting for our first Golden Employee! Would you like to become a Golden Employee too? There is a new round every quarter! So don't forget to vote when we are looking for our next 'Golden Employee'!
