KICK OFF - DNA Culture months
Get Ready! In the coming months, We’ll be giving you more insight into what our HelloFresh core DNA values mean for us! Earlier we shared our cultural guidelines, created by our Production Leadership team. In this document you can find what our DNA values mean and what they stand for.
But what’s next? How do we bring these values alive and push each other to really live these values? To give each one of them some special attention, we will put one value in the spotlight each month. By doing this, we hope to foster a more inclusive culture where we all adhere to these values and work together to live up to them as best as we can.

Health & Safety
Sprinklers system OUT OF SERVICE on June 5!
On Wednesday, June 5 the yearly maintenance is planned for our sprinkler and fire alarm installation. This means both will be out of service during the day. After the maintenance, the system will be tested. So be aware: if the fire alarm sounds, we DON’T evacuate!
The testing can also affect:
The conveyor belt,
Sound installation,
Closing of fire doors.
In case of a fire please call 112 directly and mention the sprinkler system is not working due to maintenance. For our current BHV-team, when a fire is detected:

With a small starting fire: make a attempt to extinguish it.
Start evacuation as usual. Make sure to check all rooms because the fire alarm won’t alert them.

Production Updates
DNA wall in the canteen
Not only have the walls been painted, we also have a brand new DNA wall. It shows our mission, our DNA values and also has four noticeboards for the FSQA, HSE, Facility, and HR department. This updated noticeboard structure makes sure all relevant and important information can always be found in one place. By doing this, we get rid of all the different papers distributed on walls within the DC and contribute to more clear information channels for our frontline colleagues.

Volunteering day Voedselbank
Mark your calendars for May 28, 2024, because it’s World Hunger Day! 🌍✨
As an organization, we believe it’s essential to recognize this important day. After all, everyone can play a part in ending world hunger, for good.
At HelloFresh, providing healthy meals to our customers is core business. But we also make sure our teams enjoy hearty meals and we’re proud to support our local Food Banks. Last year, around 75% of what could have been waste ended up filling the shelves of the Food Bank instead. And just last month, we donated nearly 280,000 products that would have otherwise gone to waste.
With this day coming up, we're also taking the opportunity to organize a new volunteer afternoon to further our efforts in the fight against hunger. It's a fantastic opportunity to roll up your sleeves, make a difference, and have some fun along the way! On Friday 28th of June, we will organize a new volunteering afternoon, so sign up through this link if you want to join!

Mental Health Awareness week 2024 took place from 13th till 19th of May. We hope you enjoyed this event as much as we did while organizing it.

New joiner: Tessa van der Laan
Dear new colleagues,
I just started as interim Facility and Maintenance manager. Most of you I've already met and I want to thank you guys for the warm welcome.
After the first day's I experienced a young and ambitious company with a very nice culture so I'm even more looking forward to getting to know you guys and the business.
I will shortly introduce myself but we will get to know each other better in the next few weeks. I'm Tessa van der Laan. I live in Voorburg with my husband and 2 kids (Parker 9yo and Lenore 6yo). This is the closest job to my house as I ever had so that's another thing to look forward to. That immediately tells you something about me, I find it important to do jobs and projects that fit my ambitions and personality rather than location.
My working experience is very wide within the facility sector. I worked for several big companies in Facility Management, Food&Beverage, and real estate housing. I'm a very curious person and interested in getting to know everything as soon as possible so if I ask too many questions in the beginning just tell me to stop ;-)
In my free time, I like to play tennis, have holidays with the family, and enjoy time with friends accompanied by good food and wine.
In the coming months you will only see me on Mondays and Thursdays as I am also finishing my current assignment. After our summer holiday, I will be in the FM team 4 days a week.
