Morning Meeting:

Our school has recommitted to morning meetings this year as part of a larger goal we have around "Student Safety".  Safety means more than just physical safety.  When students are physically and emotionally safe they can take the cognitive and social risks necessary to learn and grow.  Morning meeting is a tool to support this goal.  Every classroom in our school starts the day with it.  A typical morning meeting includes simple things like a greeting, a share, an activity, and a message with news/upcoming events.  We hope that by doing this all students and staff have a sense of belonging, significance, and fun right off the bat!  What a great way to start your day right?

Belonging to us means that students understand they are meant to be here, they are welcomed as they are--unconditionally.

Significance means they have a sense of their own inherent self-worth and their value to the school community-- you matter.

Fun...well...you know...fun!
