It's that time of year again!

Our Pi Day Celebration

is next month.

This year in celebration of Pi Day we are organizing a talent show for children to showcase their unique abilities. The event will take place on Pi Day, Thursday, 3/14 at 5:30 pm in the WRS gym.

The deadline for signing up to participate in the talent show is March 1st. Students have received a sign-up sheet at school that must be completed and returned by March 1st if they wish to participate in the show. There is a copy included at the bottom of this email as well that you may print and return. All acts will need to meet with Mr. Kussius and Mrs. Cooney before the event to give them a preview of what they have planned. 

As we did last year we'll be taking the "what's for dinner" stress off your hands by holding another pie sale. We received some delicious contributions from WRS families and it was a great opportunity to enjoy a meal together as a community and support the PTA. We are looking for volunteers to help out by making a pie or asking a family member to contribute. We also welcome any connections with local restaurants that might be willing to donate. Pies can be sweet or savory. We had a great selection last year, some favorites being - quiche, pizza, spaghetti pie, chicken pot pie, Tollhouse cookie pie, and banana cream pie, among others. 

We are excited for another great Pi Day! This event was our largest fundraiser last year, and the earnings were a significant contribution to all the fun things the PTA supports. We were touched by the number of people who donated their time last year to provide pies, which made the night extra special. Another successful night will only be possible with your help!
