Veterans Day Field Trip Tomorrow!

The VA is working hard to make this trip happen no matter what tomorrow.  Help us out by making sure your child has the appropriate outdoor gear (coat, hat, mittens) as some stations might still be outside!

K-2 Will be going in the morning

3-5 will be going in the afternoon.

Picture Re-Take Day --Monday, November 27th

Listen, not everyone has had as much experience as me in getting school pictures, so mark the date in your calendar if you need a retake!

If your child missed picture day in October, you can order at mylifetouch.com with Picture Day ID: EVTQBJ2FJ.  If you would like retakes of your child's photo, please send back the original packet for the photographer and let your child's teacher know so they can send them to get their picture taken.

UP DATED BUS 14 Schedule:

WRS 14 23-24 updated 10-17.doc

Welcome Niki Oney-- Our new STEM teacher

Through Title IV grant money we were able to secure a STEM teacher who will work with kids on Wednesdays to learn about Technology and Engineering.  There may or may not be robots in your child's future!

Parent Survey!

Thank you!  We have had 45 responses to our parent survey.  Just a reminder to save the date, December 13th from 6-8 PM.  We will be hosting a discussion as a school community, about our school...and community...and how to support our kids (and each other) going forward.  This exciting event will happen at Entertainment Cinemas and while we chat, your children will be supervised as they eat popcorn and watch a movie on the big screen.

If you haven't filled out the survey please do so now!!!  Your input will guide who we bring to the meeting and how the conversation will unfold.

Each year, Hartford-Norwich Holiday Basket Helpers provides gift bags of fresh fruit and vegetables, and shelf-stable foods, for seniors in need in the towns of Hartford and Norwich. These bags are hand delivered to homes in early December. The organization would love help collecting any of the following items:

  • canned fruit and vegetables

  • fruit cups (in water or juice)

  • applesauce cups

  • raisins

  • soft granola/cereal bars

  • pudding cups (reduced sugar or sugar free)

  • protein drinks

  • instant oatmeal packets

  • chapstick

Last year, more than 160 seniors were served and Holiday Baskets expects that number to be even greater this year. Please place your donations in the boxes near the main office. To learn more about Holiday Baskets, please visit holidaybasketsvt.org. THANK YOU for your help making someone's season bright!"
