Covid Reality

As you know, we have had several incidents of Covid which required classes to quarantine.  We continue to have safety protocols in place to minimize (and hopefully, eliminate) the spread of C-19 in school.  However, the community spread is as high as it ever has been and we anticipate that we will continue to need to quarantine classes as potential exposures happen.

All this to say, sorry.  I know it is inconvenient and I know for many of us it's scary.  But it is an important safety protocol and it is part of the "new normal" for at least the next few months.  For students, we have been trying to relate it to wearing masks indoors and fire drills--just something we do to make sure we are being as safe as possible.

We will be having that short talk with the whole school on Friday and wanted you to know in case you have any questions.  The main question we get is about afterschool activities and sports and the answer is yes, a quarantine includes sports.  It means you are not supposed to engage in activities with others including rec sports.
