VA Field Trip.

This week we will not have school on Friday, November 10th in honor of Veteran's Day.  To celebrate and learn more about Veterans and Veteran's Day, the school K-5 will be going to the VA on Thursday, November 9th.  K-2 will go in the morning and 3-5 will go in the afternoon.  A veteran will come and visit with PreK in the afternoon.

Thank you to all of you who have served!

Parent - School Team

Fresh off of parent teacher conferences, we want to extend the conversation and connection!  At a recent PTA meeting, we came up with the idea of renting out the Lebanon 6 movie theatre.  While the kids are being entertained with movie and popcorn, the adults (minus the staff and babysitters watching the children) will have time to connect around pressing topics, meet with and learn from experts, and develop plans that support our children, our school, you, and our town at large.

To help shape these conversations please take a second to fill out the following questionnaire.  The answers will help us plan who we should invite (expert panel) and what kind of conversation we need to have.  If you have more than one child you can fill it out multiple times or not, you're choice.

Save the date now!  December 13th from 6-8 PM

War and Conflict:

Ever get caught at the dinner table having to address an unexpected topic?  Sometimes it's as silly as why do different

people have different-smelling farts?

However, sometimes, it gets into much deeper thoughts that are sensitive and hard for them to process---and hard for us to process with them!  This quick reference guide has good generic advice about how to help children process war and conflict and how to support you in having these hard conversations.  When we provide children a supportive place to discuss and guide their thoughts, we are building resilience and acting as anti-trauma (healing) agents.
