Tomorrow morning at 8 AM we will have an All School Morning meeting. We circle up on the blacktop at 8:00 AM as a school to celebrate as a school community and recognize the most recent Hawk-e-Mons (Promotional Video Below explains this more)! Then we spread out and cheer on our BATS team as they prepare to run in the Chad Hero event this weekend. I invite you all to join us in celebrating and cheering on the BATS. (Cowbells are optional but pretty important!) If you are planning on joining us we ask that you wait by the Gym Stairs until the meeting starts at 8 AM.
Hope to see you there!
Monday school is closed for Indigenous People's Day and Tuesday there is no school for students due to a teacher inservice day.
Starting on Wednesday, October 12th we will be dismissing Walkers with the bussers at 2:40. After the busses are loaded we will release walkers to their families. We ask that all family members wait outside the gate on the dumpster side so that we can get the bus riders through. Any student who is walking and doesn't have an adult at the gate at 2:40 will have to wait until 3:00 PM to be released. Please do not attempt to get children through the car rider traffic. Please call or email me with any questions. kussiusd@hartfordschools.net
Please remember that arrival time is from 7:45 AM- 8:00 AM for grades k-5. 8-8:10 AM is reserved for Pre-School. We have had many students arriving after this time and it is terribly difficult for us to manage individual arrival times as well as being disruptive to classroom routines.
Additionally, unless it is critical, please do not plan on picking your child up between 2:10-2:45 PM. We can more easily get an entire school to where they need to be if we don't have to manage individual dismissal times. We are hoping the optional walking dismissal at 2:40 will help alleviate some of this (see above)
Thanks for your help.
Do you have the ability to manage a cue? Do you like "cheese" faces? We could use 2-3 volunteers for picture day. Your job would be to get classes when it is their time and to help manage the line for the photographers.
It should be a super fun day of community service!
Picture Day is October 19th.
Please email Mr. Kussius if you are willing and able: kussiusd@hartfordschools.net
