Reminder! Boston Field Trip tomorrow K-5!
Here are notes about our trip to Boston, MA on Friday, May 19th,
K-2 Students – New England Aquarium
Grade 3 -5– Museum of Science
We plan to leave promptly at 8:30 and the school will be closed. Please, Please, Please make sure your child is on time. We expect to return between 5:30 and 6:00, depending on traffic. We will keep our facebook page updated with our progress: www.facebook.com/whiteriverschool
Students must bring a cold lunch to eat on the way to Boston with them. Please do not send soda, candy or any glass containers.
The bus company is not responsible for any items left on the bus during the day. We have found that it is best if students do not have any items to carry and keep track of during the day. Do not allow your child to bring technology devices. We will show movies on the bus.
Students need comfortable clothes and walking shoes – like they would wear to gym class. They do not need money; there will not be any opportunity to shop.
The Premier Coach Company buses will circle behind the school and park on the playground when we return. Please keep Pine Street open for our return. We will have the buses unload in front of the school. Students will stay with their teachers until they have been signed out by their designated adult.
WE CANNOT ACCOMMODATE LAST MINUTE REQUESTS FOR DISPENSING MEDICATION.
Breakfast will not be served on Friday. Students must eat at home.
Thank you for your assistance. We are all quite excited and looking forward to our trip!
Sincerely,
Doug Kussius
The BAT team (Being AwesomeAthletes Together) is once again helping our community by collecting peanut butter, sunbutter, jelly, and jam. We donate these to the Caring and Sharing Food Pantry on Gates Street in White River. Last Spring WRS families donated 125 jars.
Please support this cause by making a donation to our PB&J drive by Friday, May 26.
The White River School PTA is excited to host an end of school year ice cream party taking place on
June 2nd from 5:30-7.
