Next Thursday, June 6th, you will receive a paper in your child's backpack indicating their teacher for next year. We will then have step-up day activities on Friday, June 7th first thing in the morning.
Our structure for next year looks like this:
2 kindergarten classrooms (Saturely and Cerasoli)
4 multi-age 1/2 classrooms (Maggiolo, Turunen, Derosier, Carbino)
4 multi-age 3/4 classrooms (Raney, Willies, Flad, Balch)
1 fifth grade classroom (Rench)
This structure is in response to a combination of our growing expertise in multi-age, a smaller fifth-grade cohort, and staffing needs. A few students that are currently in a 3/4 multi-age will need to shift to a different teacher to accommodate the need for an additional classroom. It creates a similar need in the straight 1st grade as some students will shift to Mrs. Carbino and some will stay with Mrs. Derosier.
We believe we have made thoughtful and considerate class lists that preserve friendships and set students up for successful learning experiences next year. We hope the early release of the placements and our step-up day activities will relieve anxiety and build excitement for the great things to come!
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
Upcoming:
Join Wilder BSA troop 260 at Kilowatt Park North on Wednesday, June 5 from 6-7:30 for fishing, canoeing, hot dogs, and burgers. Scouting BSA is open to boys and girls ages 11-18 and builds outdoor and leadership skills, and a sense of community and belonging. While the kids are enjoying themselves, parents can talk with leaders to learn more about the great experiences Scouting provides, and about the fantastic summer camp opportunities Scouts have.
