Google Workspace Studios for staff
Dear Google Workspace for Education administrator,
We're writing to let you know that all editions of Google Workspace for Education will begin including Google Workspace Studio as a core service as early as December 3, 2025.
We’ve provided additional information below to help you understand how these changes impact your institution.
From December 3, 2025 onwards, users in your Google Workspace for Education domain will start getting access to Google Workspace Studio, a product that empowers users to instantly design and deploy AI agents that reason, solve problems, and collaborate to automate dynamic work using simple, natural language. Workspace Studio was recently released as Workspace Flows in the Alpha program for customers with the Google AI Pro for Education add-on.
The new core service will be covered under your existing Google Workspace for Education agreement and will receive the same technical support as your other Google Workspace Services. Workspace Studio will be available in the coming weeks to all Workspace for Education customers depending on your release track. Controls to manage service access and sharing settings will be available in the Admin console in the coming days for all customers, and before the service is rolled out to end users.
Generative AI restrictions:
Users under the age of 18 will not be able to create agents with Gemini AI or use AI-powered steps in agents, such as Ask Gemini or Ask a Gem, when using their Google Workspace for Education accounts, even when the service is enabled. Please review Workspace Studio restrictions for users under 18.
No action is required from you for this change to take effect.
However, we suggest you review the following:
The default service settings for core services, including Google Workspace Studio, and how to turn services on or off.
Information on accessing Workspace Studio and other launch details, including the use of Generative AI features.
If you have questions, or require additional help, please refer to the Help Center resources on Google Workspace Studio.
Thanks for choosing Google Workspace for Education.
