Flocabulary is a learning program for all grades that uses educational hip-hop music to engage students and increase achievement across the curriculum. Our district has Flocabulary access in Nearpod. Choose from numerous Flocabulary videos on a range of topics to enhance your Nearpod lessons.
All district staff and students have access to Nearpod. As a staff member, you will login to Nearpod with your Office 365 account which is your graniteschools.org login and your district password.
Students have a link to Nearpod in the granitesd.org bookmarks folder on their Chromebooks (top left of screen).
Once logged into Nearpod, you can type Flocabulary in the search field to look for already created lessons with Flocabulary, or you can start your own Nearpod lesson and add in a Flocabulary video. To start your own lesson, click on either: Lesson in Google Slides or Lesson in Nearpod.
If you choose to create a lesson in Google Slides, you will click on Add a Slide and then click on Add Nearpod Features. Then you will have the option to choose Flocabulary and search for the video you want to add.
If you choose to create a lesson in Nearpod, you will click on Add Content and then click on Flocabulary in the blue field of Nearpod features. From there you can search for videos by topic.
If you want to browse already created lessons that contain Flocabulary videos, type Flocabulary in the search field after logging into Nearpod, and you will have many lessons to browse through. Lessons with Flocabulary built in show the Flocabulary icon on the top left of them. Once you find a lesson you want to use, you can choose to add it to your library.
