Staff and students in the Granite School District have access to the full feature Screencastify Chrome Extension, but Chrome has also added a quick and simple screen recording tool for Chromebooks.

One feature the built in Chrome Screen Recording tool has, is the ability to record only a portion of your screen. 

To access the Screen Recording tool, go to the bottom right  of the screen where the time is and click on that. You will see the screen Capture option listed in the menu that pops up. Click on that to begin.  You can watch the video to see how it works.
