Save up to 95% memory and reduce tab clutter with One Tab for Chrome.
Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.
When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in Google Chrome.
There are two types of people in the world: tab minimalists who have just a few tabs open at a time and tab collectors who have...significantly more. For minimalists and collectors alike, there is a new way to organize your tabs in Chrome using tab groups. This feature is available now in Chrome Beta.
Now, with a simple right click, you can group your tabs together and label them with a custom name and color. Once the tabs are grouped together, you can move and reorder them on the tab strip.
Some people like to group their Chrome tabs by topic. For instance, it helps if you're working on several projects, or looking through multiple shopping and review sites.
Others group their tabs by how urgent they are-- “ASAP,” “this week” and “later.” Similarly, tab groups can help keep track of your progress on certain tasks: “haven’t started,” “in progress,” “need to follow up” and “completed.”
One pro tip is that you can use an emoji as a group name such as ❤️ for inspiration or 📖 for articles to read. Tab groups are customizable so you can decide how to use them. And just like regular tabs, your groups are saved when you close and reopen Chrome.
Many of you already know that you can create your own folders on the Chrome Menu Bar by right clicking on the bar and choosing to add a new folder. However, there is an efficiency tip to make those folders even more useful. Once you create the folder, do the following:
Name the folder for a category of websites that you use frequently like Favorites
Open those websites and drag them into the folder by clicking on the lock or other small icon to the left of the URL and drag that into the folder. Do that for all the websites you want in the folder
Once you have several websites in the folder that you often use at the same time, right click on the folder and choose "Open All"
That will open all of those websites at the same time, saving you the time of searching for and opening them one at a time like usual
Another way to create folders if it doesn't show up by doing it the way described above: You can also create Menu Bar Folders by clicking on your Chrome Menu (3 dots top right). Choose Bookmarks and then Bookmarks Manager. Then click on the 3 dot menu in the top right of the blue bar in Bookmarks Manager and choose to add a new folder. Once you have created the folder, it will show up on the left. Drag it up to the menu bar and drop it in the place on the bar where you want it. Add websites as described above.
