Beginning Dec. 1st, 2021, Chromebooks have new features built into the camera app. The Chromebooks should have these new features once they are updated to Chrome OS version 96. With the camera app open, you can record a video, take a picture with a countdown timer, scan documents and save them as PDFs or images or scan a QR code.

The scanning feature will now make it easy for students to scan images they have drawn or written by hand into a document or presentation.
