Be an Explorer With the Explore Tool in Google Sheets, Docs and Slides

The Explore tool is one of the most useful classroom tools built into Google Docs, Slides, and Sheets. The ability for students and teachers to seamlessly integrate authentic research into learning has endless possibilities.

When you are in Google Docs, Slides or Sheets and open the Explore tool (by clicking the star located at the bottom right corner of the screen) it will open a panel on the right side of your document. If you would like to search for different terms, type them into the search field.

Students can use the Explore tool to get snippets of information about their research topic without having to navigate away from their work. The ability to insert a citation quickly and easily is a great reminder to students about the importance of crediting all the sources in their work.
