Another exciting announcement! We now have a district license to Kami.

Kami is a tool that allows students to annotate text and edit documents. Using the kid-friendly Chrome extension, students can annotate on ebooks, publisher-supplied PDFs, worksheets and more. Kami tools boost students’ creativity by allowing them to draw freely and annotate with a selection of colors, shapes and text sizes.

Students can easily complete tasks and save files with Kami’s Google Classroom integration or Canvas LTI. Teachers can markup, discuss and provide feedback using Kami’s text, audio, and video annotation tools. These collaborative tools encourage active, real-time participation in the classroom.

If you haven’t already tried Kami, it’s super easy to get started. The Kami Chrome extension was pushed out to all Granite staff and students. Sign up for an account using your @granitesd.org email, do this by choosing “Sign up with Google.” Here is a help video to create an account.  Your account will automatically be licensed and connected to our district account. If you already have a free or paid Kami account, it should have automatically transferred to our district license.
