Become a "Granite Ed Tech Champion" Kickoff

The Educational Technology Department is excited to announce the kickoff of our monthly challenges to become a "Granite Ed Tech Champion".

Each month we will announce new  optional challenges based around Impactful Technology Uses (ITU's). To complete an ITU challenge, you will work in collaboration with your school's Technology Coach or Library Technology Coach to plan and implement one of the Impactful Technology Uses. Additionally, you can also work with other coaches at your school in collaboration with the Tech Coach or Library Tech Coach to implement the monthly challenge. Details can be found in the links below.

Details about each monthly challenge and how to participate will be made available through our newsletters, on our Ed Tech Champions Website, our district website and through other announcements and bulletins.

Your Technology Coach or Library Technology Coach are excited to collaborate with you in developing best practices for technology use in the classroom!

Educational Technology Department Mission Statement

The Educational Technology Department works to equip every teacher and student with technology and information literacy skills. Our focus is on teacher professional learning, school technical support, and student achievement. We strive to research and develop best practices with regards to educational technology and look to replicate those practices in all classrooms.

How does it work?

Every month, the Ed Tech department will roll out a coaching challenge based on an element of impactful technology use. Complete a coaching cycle with your tech coach to earn a stipend!

When do I have to have it done by?

For each coaching cycle you complete with your tech coach, you will fill out a reflective Google Form. Due dates are flexible, but stipends can't be paid unless they are turned in!

Do I have to do every challenge?

Nope! We encourage teachers to work with their tech coach to select a challenge or two that best fits their professional needs.

Who can participate?

Any Granite educator who instructs students during the school day and is able to complete the monthly requirements in an authentic manner

Great! How do I start?

Check out this website and check in with your tech coach/library tech coach to let them know of your interest!
