Lanschool Air is a helpful online tool to use in the classroom in multiple ways.
Monitoring students online in class
Limiting students to designated websites
Blanking screens for attention

On Task Monitoring
Let's take a look at some of the things you can do with Lanschool Air to get the most out of using it.
With LanSchool Air, teachers can monitor student screens in real-time by viewing a thumbnail grid of all students' desktops, allowing them to see what students are doing on their computers during class, which is particularly useful for ensuring students stay on task and preventing distractions; teachers can also zoom into a specific student's screen for a closer look if needed.
Overview
To block troublesome or distracting websites or limit students to a select few websites pertinent to the class, use the Web Limiting feature in LanSchool Air. There is currently no limit on the number of URLs that can be added to the block and allow lists.
Before enabling web limiting for a class, configure the web limiting settings. Web limiting lists are created for each class.
Enter the class for which you want to set Web Limiting.
Select the Settings icon on the top navigation bar.
The Classroom Settings page displays.
3. From the side navigation, click Web Limiting under Classroom Settings .
4. Decide which policy you want to set for the class.
"Blanking screens with LanSchool Air" refers to the feature within the classroom management software LanSchool Air that allows a teacher to instantly blank the screens of all or selected students' devices, effectively capturing their attention by removing access to their screens with a single click, typically used to redirect focus back to the teacher during instruction.
"Pushing out URLs with LanSchool Air" means using the LanSchool Air software to send a specific website link to all students in a class, effectively opening that webpage on every student's device simultaneously, allowing the teacher to quickly direct everyone to the same site for a lesson or activity.
What is On-Task Monitoring?
On-Task Monitoring is a new tool inside of LanSchool Air that’s designed to revolutionize the way you run your classroom. On-Task Monitoring leverages AI-technology to (1) understand your class learning objective, and (2) determine how on or off task each of your students are in relation to that learning objective.
To end a class, select Exit Class on the Class Toolbar. Ending a class session will turn off any website restrictions the instructor may have had enforced.
To disable class chat in LanSchool Air, open the messaging sidebar, navigate to the "View Actions" menu at the bottom right corner, and select "Disable Chat for all" - this will prevent students from sending messages to the teacher within the class.
In LanSchool Air, students cannot chat with each other directly; they can only send messages to the teacher, meaning all communication through the messaging feature is between the teacher and individual students or the whole class.
