Expectations for student conduct and self-discipline are built on a set of principles that acknowledge both student rights and responsibilities, and principles that provide an ethical foundation for good conduct.
The principles, as communicated and applied in age-appropriate ways, include:
Students shall have a right to learn in a safe and secure environment.
Students shall act in good conscience, honestly and with integrity.
Students shall value excellence in the pursuit of knowledge, be it academic, artistic, social or athletic.
Students shall support the school’s mission and beliefs.
Students shall be accepting and supportive of their peers and other community members and contribute to creating a harmonious community.
Students shall uphold the IB learner profile.
The school’s goal is to guide students to behave responsibly and to make appropriate decisions about their behavior. The Student Handbook shall establish expectations and rules of conduct to guide student behavior.
