The school shall adhere to a home learning policy that encourages students to take ownership of their learning outside school, build on classroom learning, and apply knowledge and skills beyond the classroom to pursue their interests. The policy shall acknowledge the importance of family time and provide parents and students with flexibility in completing home learning to help ensure an appropriate balance between school and home life.
Home learning activities should develop independence, and provide an opportunity for skills practice and review. In order to meet the developmental needs of the various age groups, the divisional home learning guidelines shall adhere to age-appropriate guidelines.
