The school shall require 24 credits of core curriculum classes that, when planned accordingly by the student, will result in an FIS High School Diploma. The school shall offer accredited IB courses to students that, in addition to the FIS High School Diploma, may result in an IB Diploma or certificates in IB Courses.
Graduation requirements for students, including required course credit and enrollment for specific subjects and Creativity, Activity and Service (“CAS”), shall be determined by the Administration in consultation with the Education Committee, and aligned or in compliance with relevant accreditation requirements.
Responsibility for the development and implementation of the school's curriculum rests with the faculty of each division of the school, working with principals, curriculum coordinators and in coordination with the Assistant Head of School. The school shall use recognized, research-based curricula as the basis for its curriculum development, and shall ensure that it aligns with the requirements of the International Baccalaureate. The Curriculum Council, composed of divisional principals, curriculum coordinators and the Assistant Head of School, shall oversee the curriculum review process.
