Analyze the courtroom scene in Act III (pages 103 - 122). Look at how Danforth manipulates the witnesses like Mary Warren, Elizabeth, and Proctor, to protect his precious court and how tentatively he prods Abby to answer his questions. Reflect on Abby's ability to control all of the proceedings and Proctor's inability to let the truth be told. Who knows the truth and why doesn't it come out into the open? Get into the subtle details. Choose an area of interest and focus in. Collect several quotations and write detailed analysis. Write at least two pages.
