Wednesday4/21 Work on revising your Twelfth Night essay. Thursday4/22 Finish revising the final draft of your Twelfth Night essay. Make sure to give it a final read-aloud edit after you’ve madeall your major changes. Due by midnight on Friday, April 23. Friday4/23 Read in your IR book. All 4th Quarter IR tests are due by May 7. We will be reading a lot in The Book Thief over the next three weeks, so get a lot of IR reading done this week.


Week 29

Monday4/5 Finish your outline for the Twelfth Night essay. Finish reading your IR book and schedule a test for Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday. The due date for long books or second IR books is May 7. Tuesday4/6 Work on the first draft of your Twelfth Night essay, due Friday. Wednesday4/7 Finish studying for the Twelfth Night exam. Complete the Cornell Book Notes and study your study question answers. Thursday4/8 Finish the first draft of your Twelfth Night essay, due tomorrow. Friday4/9 Enjoy spring break! Wednesday3/24 Passage Analysis #3: Choose an interesting or important passage from the reading yesterday or today that is at least 10 lines long. Part I: Translate each line of the passage into modern English. Part II: Reflect on the meaning and importance of the passage. Explain any literary devices in the passage, reflect on what it shows about a character or theme, connect it to another place in the play, connect it to real life, give your opinion of it, discuss any irony, etc. Label the assignment PA#2 and write down the act, scene, and page number of the passage. Focus on adding depth, tightening, and using MAV. Final drafts are due on Wednesday, April 1. Tuesday3/31 Finish revising the final draft of your Pride & Prejudice essay. Once you’ve made all of your major content changes, read your essay aloud and make sure you get each sentence just right. Focus on your verbs: eliminate as much passive voice as you can and choose precise, active verbs. Wednesday4/1 Complete the 25 words assignment. See the link for details.
