Week 1
Monday
8/19 Go through The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and find 5 significant quotations and reflect on two of them in detail. As you go through the novel looking for quotations, review the plot, characters, significant scenes, etc. so that you are prepared for the test tomorrow (in English class). Write about one page on each quotation. Focus on analyzing the specific lines rather than summarizing the plot surrounding the quotations. Look at the model quotation reflection if you’re not sure what to do. The key to this assignment is choosing meaty quotations from your sticky notes. Don’t start writing about a quotation unless you have a lot to say about it—choose carefully.
Tuesday
8/20 Complete the image analysis assignment on Google Classroom.
Wednesday
8/21 Complete a think write on Huck’s transformation. Check out the more specific directions on Google Classroom and we’ll discuss this in class on Thursday.
