Monday10/3 Read in your IR book. Due next week by Tuesday, October 11. Tuesday10/4 Based on the writing notes, my suggestions, the writing rubric, and your own ideas for improvement, write a final draft of your Pygmalion essay. Wednesday10/5 After you’ve made all the major content changes to your comparison essay, read your essay aloud and listen for awkward sections, repeated words, passive voice, tense changes, unvaried sentence structure, and make the final revisions to the final draft of your Pygmalion essay. Thursday10/6 Finish your performance task essay if you didn’t get it finished in class. Finish your IR book, due Tuesday. No school tomorrow. Friday10/7 Read in your IR book. All first quarter IR book tests are due by October 11.Week 7
Monday9/26 Based on peer editing suggestions, the writing rubric, and your own ideas for improvement, write a second draft of your Pygmalion essay. Due Thursday Tuesday9/27 Finish the study questions for the Pygmalion exam. Study the study questions and start on the Cornell Book Notes. The exam will be Wednesday (Paragraph Answer) and Thursday (Quotation Analysis). Wednesday9/28 Finish the Cornell Book Notes in order to study for the Quotation Analysis section of the exam. Go through the book and read all your sticky notes and pick out 7-8 important quotations. See the rest of the directions on the Google Classroom assignment. Thursday9/29 Finish the second draft of your Pygmalion essay if you have not done so already. Friday9/30 Read in your IR book—try to finish this weekend. The first quarter deadline is October 11 and we’ll be starting a new novel in class next week.Week 6

Finish your scene analysis if you didn't get it finished yet. Friday9/16 Choose a new IR book and start reading or continue reading your long book. The first quarter deadline is October 11. Do you think he'll change by the end of the play? If so, how? Use several quotations to support and focus your writing. Write about a page (double spaced).Week 2
Monday8/31 Quotation Reflection #2: Choose two quotations from what we read aloud in Pygmalion today and reflect on them in detail. Write about a half page on each quotation. Tuesday9/1 Watch the older version of Pygmalion. Compare the two different movie version of the play, Pygmalion. What is different about the two movies? What is similar? Which one do you like better and why? Wednesday9/2 Quotation Reflection #3: Choose two quotations from what we read aloud in Pygmalion today and reflect on them in detail. Write about a half page on each quotation. Thursday9/3 Sign on to Membean. Complete the calibration and practice the vocabulary words for at least 10 minutes. Use this link to log on to Membean.
