Correctly log in to Google Education
Locate, name and identify apps and their purpose.
Learn basic features to create a Site using a template. Create content for the first page.
Mini Lesson
Model how to access, log into and navigate through Google Education. Discuss the purpose of each of the main apps used throughout the year.
Create and show how to name a new Site as their own website of digital work completed online. Explain how Sites work using the school’s DLS and support students to create the front page and links to sections for English, Maths, Inquiry and Digital Learning.
Model how to access previously created work and link it to the website using hyperlinks. Refer back to the Google Drive and Google Classroom work.Â
Independent Learning
Students watch as teacher models each step with the class and support students as needed.
Reflection
Discuss the importance of keeping passwords private, and the process to create a strong password. Model and example to the class and the criteria. Link to Complex Seven Passwords.Â

Students practice accessing the Google Sheets application and practice inserting class data to create data charts. Students make multiple data charts representing the same data. Students may choose to collect their own data for their charts or use the example data.
