What is a news article?
There are many different ways that information can be passed to many people in a society. These include television and radio broadcasts and articles in newspapers. These methods of communication are known as media. In recent years, the Internet has become an increasingly important part of media as media outlets move from the traditional newspaper to online websites. This allows for news to be shared faster and is now more accessible to people using all forms of technology. News articles are classed as 'non-fiction' texts.
