Australia's First Peoples have been living on the Australian continent for over 65,000 years. Use the page to the right to see the difference between the time of the First People's of Australia and European Settlement.
Australia's First Peoples are made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people which are made up of many different and distinct groups, each with their own culture, customs, language and laws. They are the world’s oldest surviving cultures.
The link to a Map of Indigenous Australian's (First Nations People) attempts to represent the language, social or nation groups of Aboriginal Australia. It shows only the general locations of larger groupings of people which may include clans, dialects or individual languages in a group.
