This is a pure mathematics course aimed at students who intend further study at a university or polytechnic.  It is especially important for students who wish to carry on with further study in science, engineering, surveying or certain aspects of commerce.  

The course follows on from some of the topics covered in Year 12 Mathematics and introduces new topics of work.  To successfully complete this course, a good understanding of algebraic skills is essential.

The course covers differentiation, integration, complex numbers and trigonometry.
