Digital Information: Understanding how data is collected, managed, and utilised. You'll learn to create, organize, and present information effectively using a variety of digital tools.
Digital Media: Exploring multimedia production, including graphic design, video editing, and animation. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects that showcase your creativity and technical skills.
Programming and Computer Science: Gaining a solid foundation in coding and computational thinking. We'll cover various programming languages and principles, enabling you to develop your own software applications.
This course is designed to introduce you to a variety of concepts covered in the field of Computer Science.
Specific Aims:
Investigate how humans and computers interact and how these interactions can be optimised.
Create a website using HTML code.
Create a basic computer program written in Python code.
Create a working database to manage data.
Internal assessments are based around two projects: Building a website and building a computer program.
The external assessment is an exam focussed on how humans and computers interact.
