This course provides students with an opportunity to explore the principles of nutrition, culinary skills, wellbeing and food science. Through practical cooking sessions, nutritional analysis, and critical evaluation of dietary choices, students will develop essential knowledge and skills for making informed decisions about food and health.
A course of practical and theoretical activities, with a particular focus on Health and Nutrition. It will equip you with the necessary skills to maintain your own personal well-being, both now and in the future; as well as prepare you for future academic and vocational opportunities.
The course includes the following topics-
Knowledge of nutritional needs through application of a health and wellbeing model.
Demonstrating decision-making processes in relation to a health-related, nutrition situation.
Knowledge of personal, interpersonal and societal factors that influence hauora / wellbeing through a nutritional lens.
