For such a small town, Croton has a staggering number of nail salons. The choice is certainly nice, but it does create an intense debate that begs the question: what is the best nail salon in Croton? I sat down with a few CHHS students to try and find the answer.
When talking to students, I found that the most important factors in choosing their favorite nail salons were price, quality, environment, and appointment availability. The two most popular locations, Coco’s and Chelsea, were praised for their high quality and open availability, and Lina’s and Adara’s are often considered the cheaper options, specializing more in acrylics and designs. Although Coach was also one of the more affordable options, many students expressed their feeling that they weren’t willing to compromise on the salon’s environment just for a cheaper price. Additionally, I found that many students had loyalty to specific nail technicians, which kept them going back to salons like Coco’s.
So, what is the best nail salon in the area? Students feel that for gel nails or quality regular nails, Coco’s is a go to, but for elaborate acrylics with rhinestones and custom designs, Adara’s or Lina’s might be the better option.
