This printer works nearly the same as an inkjet printer but with special inks and papers for the dye sublimation process. Dye Sublimation is an image transfer process that chemically changes printed inks into vapor when placed on a heat press. The vapor penetrates the material on a molecular level, forming a permanent bond with the material's substance. This allows for permanent adhesion of images on a variety of synthetic materials, such as ceramic, polyester, acrylic, metal, and more! Dye sublimated items will not bleach in the laundry, microwave, or dishwasher, keeping the images vivid and long-lasting.
