How To Access
general ACCESS
Become a makerspace member to gain access to the space by first joining the Canvas and filling out the agreement form.
Once you have become a member, you will be able to access the Prototyping Lab and Tech Shop. Most of the equipment in that room will require additional training to use (more details below)
To access the Manufacturing Lab, an additional safety training quiz will be required. Again, the majority of the equipment in the room will require additional training to use (more details below)
Prototyping lab access
*Prior to anything fill out the DCI Lab Agreement Form as stated above under "General Access"
You must complete a short quiz with a score of 100% to access the following pieces of equipment found in the Prototyping Lab. You have unlimited attempts at completing each quiz.
Our large format printer-cutter that is used to make stickers, posters, and heat transfer graphics onto fabrics.
Required to use the vinyl printer-cutter. Please note that there are material limits.
Filament printers that are typically the first introduction to 3D printing.
Access to 7 filament printers whose materials don't change.
Access to 2 additional filament printers for which you can request different materials.
Higher end 3D printers that use SLA technology with resin to produce very detailed parts.
Required to use the Form 3 resin printers. Please note that there are material limits.
MANUFACTURING LAB ACCESS
*Prior to anything fill out the DCI Lab Agreement Form as stated above under "General Access"
To access the Manufacturing Lab you must take and pass the following quiz with a score of 100%
Once these two requirements above have been met, you will be allowed to enter the Manufacturing Lab and use the power tools.
You must complete a short quiz with a score of 100% to access the following pieces of equipment found in the manufacturing lab. You have unlimited attempts at completing each quiz.
Laser cutters with varying wattages that can engrave and cut through many materials.
Required to use the 3 laser cutters.
Metalworking Equipment
Equipment for working with metal including a Tormach CNC Mill, Mill/Drill, Shear/Brake/Roll, and Bandsaw.
Required to use the metalworking tools. Each piece of equipment may have additional training requirements. Please reach out to a staff member.
Tech Shop access

You must complete a short quiz with a score of 100% to access the following pieces of equipment found in the Tech Shop. You have unlimited attempts at completing each quiz.
Soldering irons that can be used to connect electrical components.
Required to use the soldering irons.
