Sublimate a magnet

Preparing Your File

Step 1: Choose your png image and import it onto an 8.5"x11" artboard on Adobe Illustrator.

Step 2:  Go to File > Document Setup and change your units to Inches. Resize your image to the size of the magnet. If you want your image to be a full bleed then it should be slightly bigger than 1.9" on each side. This dog image is 2.1" on the shorter side.

Step 3: Go to File > Print > Select "Sawgrass Print Manager" under the "Printer" setting. Hit Print at the bottom right and the Sawgrass Print Manager will automatically open.

Step 4: Change your "Substrate" to Ceramic Tile. Ensure that the "Mirror" checkbox is marked. Send your file to print.

Heat Press

Step 1: Turn on the heat press. The temperature should be at 200°C. Change the timer to 60 seconds by hitting the button on the right with the gear on it.

Step 2: Once the file has finished printing, cut it out to be bigger than the magnet.

Step 3: Peel the thin film on top of the magnet off

Step 4: Tape the paper to the magnet.  (Use the metallic Teflon Tape!)
Since the piece of paper is larger than the magnet, tape from the backside.

Step 5: Place the taped magnet and paper under the heat press with the paper side up.

Step 6: Press down until the 60 seconds are complete.

Step 7: Let the magnet cool for a few minutes. Remove the paper.

Step 8: Peel the backing of the other part of the magnet and stick it to your part with the image.

Now you have a cool magnet!
