STEP 1: FIND AN IMAGE FOR YOUR DESIGN
Find and download an image for your button.
Tips on selecting an image ~
Try to choose an image that isn't too big.
Try to find a image that has the character/writing in the center
If you do decide to do a full image just know some of the image will be cropped out.
Some good places to find an image are: comsoms.co and pinterest.com
STEP 2: DOWNLOAD & OPEN THE STARTER TEMPLATE
Download the template here (https://tinyurl.com/dcilab-canvabuttontemplate)
Open the template in Canva.
STEP 3: Upload Image & Put into template
On the left side of the Canva page there is a "Uploads" button. Click on it and then upload your image using the "Upload files" button.
2. Drag and drop your image from "Uploads" onto the template.
Normal: This is what your image should look like on the template.
Cropped: This is an example of what an image would look like if you chose one that doesn't fit in the template.
Note: The template will automatically crop the image to be a circle.
STEP 3: Export Your Design
Click the "Share" button on the top right of the Canva page.
Then you are going to click the "Download" button
You are going to save as a "PDF Print"
Then press "Download"
Remember to name your file something you remember we recommend FirstName_Button.pdf
STEP 4: Cut
Make sure to cut out all of your circle designs that you printed out to the best of your ability.
STEP 5: Get supplies
Gather all your supplies that you will need. Reference the image below:
STEP 6: Get Button Maker
The Button Maker is located to the right of the heat press in the Tech Shop.
Final Step: Assemble Button!
The images below will show you step by step how to assemble the buttons.
Now just repeat with all the other button designs you made!
