Picking a Laser

We have three laser cutters in the space; each has their own pros and cons.

Left laser

A basic, large laser cutter. 18 x 32 inch bed. 75 watts

Note: acrylic can be cut on this laser so long as the paper covering is removed first.

right laser

A basic, large laser cutter with air assist*. 18 x 32 inch bed. 150 watts

Note: acrylic can be cut on this laser without removing the paper.

Foam core and plywood thicker than .25" must be cut on this laser.

*The air assist is a special system that blows a constant stream of pressured air onto the material as the laser is cutting. This helps prevent flames from popping up and burning materials like foam or thick wood (1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, etc.).

small laser

A small, tabletop laser cutter with a rotary system if desired. 11 x 24 inch bed. 60 watts
