An essay assigned for homework is an open invitation for AI misuse, whereas a one-paragraph response written in 15 minutes at the start of class is not. Timed, in-class writing gives you a direct sample of what a student can produce without outside assistance. This idea provides frequent, low-stakes tasks spread across time, and outperform single high-stakes assessments for long-term retention. ~AO

Easily split your screen in Chrome by hovering over the "Restore" option in the upper right. Once you hover, you'll be able to choose between splitting your screen with 4 easy to use options. ~AO
Students download things all the time to their Chromebook. Previously, all of them would go to their download folder. However, if the device was powerwashed, students would lose their downloads. A setting has been changed downloads will now go to Google Drive. Learn how students can change where their downloads go, or be prompted to choose each time. ~VC
