Summer 2022 edition

Welcome to Tiger One, the online collection of K-12 technology resources that can be integrated into any classroom.

Google Classroom- Clean Up Before You Go

At the end of each school, it is important for teachers to ARCHIVE (not delete) any classes that aren't wrapping around to the following year. This isn't just an important step for the digital classroom organization for teachers, but it is critical for students as well. Why? Because students are no longer able to unenroll or archive their own classes. Don't worry, all of the information and assignments will be saved, and be "Re-used" next year, it's just that the class is hidden from view. ~AO

Teacher Desktops

Unfortunately, teacher desktops are nearing end of life (both functionally and for security). They operate at about 1/10 of the performance of your teacher laptop, which was purchased to replace your desktop. While there is no current plan to remove desktops this summer (unless you request it), the technology department will no longer be supporting desktop repairs in the near future. So, you should begin thinking about and preparing for how your classroom might be setup without it. If you still have a teacher desktop workstation that you are using, it would be a good idea to backup your files to your H: Drive. Here's how.... ~AO

SPARCC is proud to host our annual Educational Technology Conference on Friday, August 5, 2022.

This year the conference will be completely online and virtual with a mix of live sessions and pre-recorded sessions.

This is a FREE conference for teachers, administrators, technology staff, and anyone interested in using educational technology to support teaching and learning.

Certificates of attendance for professional development will be available for each session you watch live or recorded.

Recordings of all the sessions will be available afterwards if you can't watch them on the actual date of the conference.

This is an excellent way to kick off a new school year with great ideas!

Going digital again in 2022, the High Impact Conference for Educators continues to feature expert content for education professionals in and around Stark County in Northeast Ohio. Alongside a library of asynchronous professional development sessions, the conference features session materials that are ready for you to implement in your own classroom to help grow students.

On-demand sessions for the HICE Conference will be available from June 6th through the 17th.
